Mine was set to pay on bill instead of my dd transferring over. It’s only because I queried why payment hadn’t gone out that they said.

That's pretty good advice to change DD to pay on bill. With the credit I have I should have a chunk over when I get my next bill in a few days to cover most of the following month. I have decided to sell up and downsize, my daughter is getting married next year and may move out sooner as they will get a house together,it makes sense as why have 2 people in a 4 bed house, so I don't really want to build up extra credit for next winter. Unfortunately I can't yet change the DD as the website isn't working still/again

A bit more than over educated morons. I have long suspected that those morons are influenced by manufacturers and people who have a vested interest in what they pedal. Heat pumps are a classic example. They are now trying to tell us a heat pump is cost effective against a gas boiler but look at those telling us!! They are selling the damn things. We even have Octopus pushing the concept. It made an operating loss in £84.7m loss last year and is £64m in the red. It’s income statement shows a net/profit but only because it sold an asset. Do Ofgem know?! What is easier, far greener, and cost effective is for home owners to be encouraged to take out their central heating systems and replace with all electric and electricity is subsidiseD until the cost comes down. But will that happen? Doubtful for there are too many vested interests selling boilers, radiators, heat pumps etc. they don’t want homeowners doing this. Particularly when the home owner can in most cases do the work him or herself.
I worked out my likely cost for March yesterday and it looks like it will be £20 or so more than last March.

I paid nothing to shell in March because of my credit. But the balance will be used up on this monthly bill. I say “this month” but it is really for last month. Makes record keeping confusing if you don’t watch it!

I now await my bill for March. Using co,se about now. From the reading I took it looks like I have used less gas and electricity compared to March last year but it is going to cost me nearly £40 more than last year for the same month.

Oww, I'm late to this thread. Nice to see the discussion! 😊
Oh, and I helped my mum adjust her DD payment in the Shell app last night — via FaceTime screen sharing. Still painful, but much better than working blind whilst remote controlling her finger.

Like gerryhatrick, I am also waiting for my March statement. My reading date is the 1st,so should have had it by now. Nice one @25quid for helping your mum, wouldn't it have been easier to log into her account using her sign up details, and do it yourself

My shell bill for the period ending 4th April arrived today and they have apportioned the cost so that I only pay the new rates from 1st April to the 4th but they have changed the download process. I can’t download the bill unless I now install Adobe or Google Chrome. I don’t need, and don’t want either of those. I had to get the bill by emailing a copy to myself and then opening it. I had no problems downloading my previous two bills. I wonder if they are getting commission from Adobe and Google?!

Odd, I just viewed my bill and can see it as normal gerryhatrick and I can go to File, Save and it's a PDF. Just wondering if it could be a change on your device? Installed something recently maybe? Next job, gotta try to figure out if the bill makes sense...

It may be the recent update to the OS on the MAC. It may be the web site for Shell does not see a pdf reader installed but there is one. I was able to email it to myself and then save and open it. Only £70 to pay this month my credit will now be used up.

I'm on Mac OS too (Safari Version 15.4) and can download normally, either like I said earlier (when viewing the PDF on-screen), or via the download link I've just re-discovered on the account page.
I'd be slightly worried/curious that there is something intercepting my downloads and changing my browser behaviour. You sure you've not got some invasive/unnecessary antivirus bloatware installed in your browser/Mac?
