As our prices sky-rocket, what ideas are you trying to save a little money?
My new trick when making instant coffee is to turn the kettle off a little before it boils. Coffee tastes great and I get to enjoy it sooner!

You've got a win win their 25 quid. And apply that to the work place and bingo!
Funny my coffee beans have increased, can't complain been the same price for over 4 years via Pact Coffee and I get a good price as been a loyal pioneer. Been thinking I'll stop grinding (electric grinder) my own and let Pact do it.
We have a 15min 30c - 20min 40c washing machine cycle choice. Let the machine fill up - soak the washing with a limited few churns...before the water heats up - then turn the machine off or on pause and leave according to your required soaking...then turn back on to complete.
Where a hat on cold days.
Said to my mate who has a big old house jokingly... (he's wedged up hates spending money) create small rooms with bales of hay - save you a fortune.

Now that the weather is getting better, I've started hanging the washing outside ( despite the protestations of my daughter ) but if intending to use the tumble dryer, when on a quick wash I turn off the spin as it only spins at 1000rpm then put on a full speed 1600rpm spin when the cycle is finished,, the actual time doesn't change on the wash cycle and it may use slightly more electric on the faster spin, but the drying time is shorter as the clothes are dryer when transferring over

I believe the experts say never to put boiling water on coffee but always water at a temperature just below boiling.
As for coffee I have always stuck with Taylor’s Lazy Sunday buying when Tesco have it on offer. It is on offer now but the price is up. £7 for two packets. What I have liked is a ground coffee from Rheal Superfoods called Shroom. The caffeine content is reduced and and they add dried ground mushrooms to it for added health benefits. You cannot taste the mushrooms! However, it is not cheap. They do an instant version which is drinkable but not me.
