At least BG have come up with something. Maybe a bit to much to ask from the oil barons. Tricky times...

Hi lapa, so does that mean the BG deal is good enough be a good option for your dad (according to Martin Lewis)? I'm just wondering how much more the fixed is...

All the fixed deals quoted in the media seem to be for existing customers only, it appears that Shell have no intention of offering the same. We are all stuck between a rock and a hard place.
To think, just after PP went bust, we were advising others to stay on the variable tariffs, it now seems that advice was wrong, my son is now certainly laughing after he took a 2 year fixed with his supplier when his previous one ended

I’m not sure if he’s going to do it but he’s looking into it. Think his yearly predicted spent with it was £2400 instead of £2880 of the predicted rate. Obviously useage is an aspect in it and he knows his useage and he thought it could be a good deal. But who knows.
Shame shell hasn’t but maybe they will follow suit. But their transition to BG has been appalling so maybe this is BG way of saying sorry (doubt it but one can hope) shell customer service has been excellent (from my perspective) but my rates going up and their profits soaring is starting to grate on me 😂 clearly charging to much for profits to be that much.
