As some of you will know, last year I decided to downsize and bought a smaller, better insulated house. I've just received my bill for February, and thought I'd compare it to last year. In 2022 I used 373kwh of electricity and 2458kwh of gas.
This year for the same period, I've used 335kwh of electricity and 376kwh of gas. Quite a difference I think you will agree, I know it's been a bit milder this year compared to last, but not enough to make that difference. Last year's usage at this year's price would have been £135.94 for electricity (actual £135.71), and £254.22 for gas ( actual £49.29). Those calculations don't include the standing charges or the government discount
