I'm in the same situation angelabikerbabe, any replies received from help seem to be generic answers that don't actually answer the questions. I haven't found anywhere to view smart readings either, which makes it difficult to calculate usage for a specific period, although the usage tab in the app helps if you have half hourly readings switched on. Like you my gas meter has. not been switched yet If you can find a supplier offering variable tariffs, yes you can switch, but they all seem to be offering vastly exaggerated fixed deals. If you do find one, be sure to let us know

Personally never emailed them but I have contacted them via live chat and that was helpful. The customer service was very good maybe try that? I have heard their email support is useless.

Once you are on a smart meter they stop showing the readings or letting you submit one. We have to wait for the monthly bill to check.

Hmmm, I can only read a bit of that article @strutt, but I guess April is the time to shop around for deals... And angelabikerbabe, I don't have a smart meter so have no hints, but it seemed easy when I entered my mum's readings from her dumb meters...

Just fell into the old trap of other answers being on the next page. So ignore my out of date previous reply. 🙄

Anyone have any idea what's happened with the Shell app. It finally started working a few weeks ago, now it's back to redirect to the web, which isn't as intuitive. I've tried reinstalling but no change.

Sounds frustrating....and just to say without sounding smug is that the online account has been glitch free.

I've just been ignoring it. I really must check my figures at some point soon... Maybe tomorrow??

I hit a glitch most times I access the account online. It asks me to login, I do so and then I often get a blank page. If I then try again by going to the main page I find I am logged in. It happens most of the time. Shell are looking into it but are currently stumped for an answer.

I have not tried with a different browser but it happens on both my iPad and MAC. This morning it worked as it should but I am sure if I try again later the fault returns. It is what usually is the case.

Heehee Ange,
When I submitted my readings online yesterday, there was a list of readings beneath (well there was just the opening reading and my new reading). Have you tried looking on the submit reading page?

My bill for the period ending 5th June arrived today. No surprises except that for some peculiar reason they charged me for the period from the 6th April to the 5th May as well and then cancelled that bill. The amount cancelled was not as much as the bill was (paid last month) but the end result is what it should be for this month. The bill suggests it is because of a credit from a previous supplier but I have been with Shell since last October. No sense, but I am not paying any more than I should be. Although sadly the bill is greater than that for last year despite using less energy.
